Steam Works

Our current project is building and machining a 4 inch scale (3rd scale) Traction engine based on a 10NHP J&H Mclaren Road locomotive.

This engine is based on the historic engine Boadicea No.1652,
Originally built by J&H McLaren in 1919.

This ongoing project is always a head turner when presented at exhibitions and shows throughout the year.
It brings regular enquiries and future business. It shows our capabilities in manufacturing bespoke components.
All parts are manufactured by ourselves. The majority of this build has been made out of solid bars with very few cast ings used.

We made and supplied the display stand including track for this impressive fully working miniature locomotive.

External shelf cut into the base for a hardened glass case to cover this engine which was later fitted by the customer.

We can supply display stands for almost any model, with or without track and Glass cover.
